We now have a very good working computer so that I can finally get back to blogging! This is so much like a journal to me and well I write in it more then I do an actual journal. This post is just
going to be updates and then my next post will be with some pictures!
We moved out of my grandparents house in Jan. and into an apartment in
Tremonton. I am enjoying being so close to town and honestly I'm enjoying the bigger space. 3 people in a one bedroom was just not doable anymore. Now we have 2 bedrooms and they are good sized bedrooms. Hopefully we can up-grade to 3 because I really want all my scrapbook stuff in a
separate room, and well we have a lot of junk!
Kevin is enjoying his job with P&G. Its great pay with great benefits! Sure is nice that he never complains about going to work anymore! Oh and who can complain about the free product we get? Other then we are running out of room. Just about a month ago he came home with I kid you not about 8 bags of paper towels and more then 8 bags of toilet paper. He came home with a box of puffs meaning a big box that has 4 sets of 4 smaller boxes. We got shampoo, dish soap, magic erasers, baby wipes, batteries, shave gel, hairspray, we even got a book on potty training for Preston. Sure is nice to know that we may never run out of toilet paper AGAIN! His work schedule is not to friendly but he's working less days which means we get to see him more. He works a rotating schedule of 2 days on 2 days off 3 days on and it repeats itself. About every other weekend we get a 3 day weekend with him. He works 12 hour days so when he's working its from 7:00 to 7:30 whether its day or graves. They are still toying around with other schedules so this will not be a set schedule until they have gone through all possible options.
I am enjoying still being a stay at home mommy. I love to spend all that time with my precious little boy. I think he enjoys it as well. A week ago yesterday I had gall bladder surgery. I ended up in the ER with gall bladder pains so they did an ultrasound and found that I had several gall stones. It was not an emergency to remove it because my lining was fine and not swollen. So I followed up with a general surgeon who did surgery the following week because I was still having symptoms. After surgery the doctor came in to talk to us and he informed me that my gall bladder was super ugly. It was so swollen in just a week that he had to drain it before he could remove it. I ended up with 4 incisions and a needle hole where he drained it. He also sent me home with some of the gall stones. I'll have to get a picture of it. There were a lot of them. It took an extra half hour in surgery then normal. I'm now healing okay, a few of my incisions ache but nothing horrible! No more gall bladder attacks and
that's super nice!
Preston is growing like a weed. I have so much to update on him. He turned 2 in January, and we had a Mickey Mouse themed party. HE. LOVED. IT. Kevin and I made him a birthday cake out of fondant and I think it turned out very cute! He was spoiled rotten! He loves having his own bedroom and we actually just recently switched him to a big boy bed! We are still in the process of decorating his room, its Cars themed. We purchased a set of bunk beds for his big boy bed because eventually we want more children and then that is just one less bed we will have to buy when we have more. At his 2 year wellness check up he weighed in at about 23 lbs. He's a small guy but the doctors are not worried. Clothes wise he wears 18 months, 24 months or 2t are just to big on him. He LOVES to play outside and asks to play outside every day. His vocabulary has gone through the roof. He says new words every day! He is the joy of our lives!
Pictures to follow soon!
