Visit from the Smiths

A few short weeks ago Kevin's sister Suzie and her family came for a visit! It was fun for Preston to have a little friend to play with while here. Suzie's daughter Elyse is pretty much exactly a year behind Preston. Here are a few pictures from that trip.

While they were here we went to Willow Park to see the fun animals!

We also went to the Living Planet Aquarium. Preston LOVED seeing all the fish and the penguins were his favorite!

We had a fun time visiting with them! Thanks for coming guys!

Scentsy, Purse and Crocheted Hats Open House

So back in July I signed up to sell Scentsy. I love the product and I figured it was a good way to earn a little extra cash while staying home with my little guy. I also figured it was a good way to get out of the house once in a while for some adult interaction. It has been so nice and I have enjoyed meeting new people.
This weekend I'm doing an open house at my house for everyone to come and smell the new Spring/Summer scents. Also to see all the new fun products! So at my house this weekend we will have someone selling purses and someone selling crocheted hats. I'm excited for this! It will also help get all our names out there a little bit more and I'm hoping that its also a great way to meet my new neighbors!

So if your in the Tremonton area on March 26 come in and stop by! The open house runs from 10am to 12pm. I also ask that everyone please park on the road.

Some pictures from our outings

Just about a month ago Kevin's Grandma and sister Tracy came and visited us! Preston loved the attention. While they were here we took a trip up to Hardware Ranch to see the Elk. Preston LOVED to see all the Elk and he thought it was so cool that he was able to ride on a sleigh pulled by horses!

A week ago this past Tuesday I had my gall bladder removed. The doctor sent me home with a little souvenir. Take a look at these gall stones. I touched one after Kevin took a picture of them. They feel just like a rock literally. Today we took Preston to my grandparents house. He was able to go down and see the cows be fed. We then headed over to my aunts who has a baby lamb. He was able to feed the baby lamb and he LOVED it. The lamb followed him everywhere!

New computer = no more freezing problems!

We now have a very good working computer so that I can finally get back to blogging! This is so much like a journal to me and well I write in it more then I do an actual journal. This post is just going to be updates and then my next post will be with some pictures!

We moved out of my grandparents house in Jan. and into an apartment in Tremonton. I am enjoying being so close to town and honestly I'm enjoying the bigger space. 3 people in a one bedroom was just not doable anymore. Now we have 2 bedrooms and they are good sized bedrooms. Hopefully we can up-grade to 3 because I really want all my scrapbook stuff in a separate room, and well we have a lot of junk!

Kevin is enjoying his job with P&G. Its great pay with great benefits! Sure is nice that he never complains about going to work anymore! Oh and who can complain about the free product we get? Other then we are running out of room. Just about a month ago he came home with I kid you not about 8 bags of paper towels and more then 8 bags of toilet paper. He came home with a box of puffs meaning a big box that has 4 sets of 4 smaller boxes. We got shampoo, dish soap, magic erasers, baby wipes, batteries, shave gel, hairspray, we even got a book on potty training for Preston. Sure is nice to know that we may never run out of toilet paper AGAIN! His work schedule is not to friendly but he's working less days which means we get to see him more. He works a rotating schedule of 2 days on 2 days off 3 days on and it repeats itself. About every other weekend we get a 3 day weekend with him. He works 12 hour days so when he's working its from 7:00 to 7:30 whether its day or graves. They are still toying around with other schedules so this will not be a set schedule until they have gone through all possible options.

I am enjoying still being a stay at home mommy. I love to spend all that time with my precious little boy. I think he enjoys it as well. A week ago yesterday I had gall bladder surgery. I ended up in the ER with gall bladder pains so they did an ultrasound and found that I had several gall stones. It was not an emergency to remove it because my lining was fine and not swollen. So I followed up with a general surgeon who did surgery the following week because I was still having symptoms. After surgery the doctor came in to talk to us and he informed me that my gall bladder was super ugly. It was so swollen in just a week that he had to drain it before he could remove it. I ended up with 4 incisions and a needle hole where he drained it. He also sent me home with some of the gall stones. I'll have to get a picture of it. There were a lot of them. It took an extra half hour in surgery then normal. I'm now healing okay, a few of my incisions ache but nothing horrible! No more gall bladder attacks and that's super nice!

Preston is growing like a weed. I have so much to update on him. He turned 2 in January, and we had a Mickey Mouse themed party. HE. LOVED. IT. Kevin and I made him a birthday cake out of fondant and I think it turned out very cute! He was spoiled rotten! He loves having his own bedroom and we actually just recently switched him to a big boy bed! We are still in the process of decorating his room, its Cars themed. We purchased a set of bunk beds for his big boy bed because eventually we want more children and then that is just one less bed we will have to buy when we have more. At his 2 year wellness check up he weighed in at about 23 lbs. He's a small guy but the doctors are not worried. Clothes wise he wears 18 months, 24 months or 2t are just to big on him. He LOVES to play outside and asks to play outside every day. His vocabulary has gone through the roof. He says new words every day! He is the joy of our lives!

Pictures to follow soon!

The last couple months

Its been a while since I updated this. Hopefully in the new year I'll do better at that. We have been super busy so here are a few pictures to hold you over!
In September Preston and I went with my parents to Yellowstone. Kevin had to stay and work. That is the longest he's ever been away from Preston. While we were there we were able to see a baby cub in the park however, no pictures of it :( we could not stop, the Rangers would not let us.

The end of Sept first of Oct we went to California because Kevin's sister Tracy came home off her mission. While we were there we took the kids to FairyTale Town, Preston was not very thrilled with it.

Preston was Tigger for Halloween, we only took him to a few houses because he had a fever earlier in the week and I just did not want him out a lot. He LOVED being Tigger, when we ask him what Tigger does he say bounce bounce bounce and he bounces up and down.

Preston has learned how to climb out of his bed and needless to say this is how we found him the other night.
We took Preston to see Santa and his reindeer, we also cant forget the Camel! He loved the Reindeer infact its been one of his new words! He does not really like Santa as you can see from the picture.

July update!!

We have had so much fun this summer so far! The very begining of July we headed out to California to visit with Kevins family and to finally be able to meet our niece (who was born in Jan). We were able to go to the Sacramento zoo and the kids had a blast. We rarely used the stroller because Preston wanted to run everywhere, thank goodness for the leash we bought just before going!
While we were out there we were able to take Nana out to lunch and snap only a couple pictures of Preston and his great great grandma. He does not like to hold still for pictures anymore. We also visited with Kevins grandma and got only about 1 picture with her. The little stink pot! Kevin also took him swimming for the first time. He's gone in a little kiddy pool or played in the sprinkler but never in a big pool. He wasnt sure he liked it to much.
Finally after being out there from Friday-Monday. Caleb started to like Preston! The had so much fun playing together sunday, to bad we had to leave monday morning.
Here are a few random pictures from the last couple of weeks. We have a very funny little boy who is also very brave!
This summer we also had the annual Scott Family Reunion! We really missed a lot of you who could not make it! Next year it will be held in June and I will send out a mass e-mail for everyone! I wish that I would of taken more pictures of the kids playing. Preston found a new friend in his cousin Jed. They had a lot of fun playing together in the rocks!
Just this past saturday my entire family headed down to Hoogle Zoo. I really think the adults were more excited then Preston. He was the only kid in our group haha. My parents went, my brothers and my sister in law, and my brothers friend. We had a lot of fun! It wore Preston right out, afterwards we headed over to the Gateway to do a little shopping and Preston fell right to sleep in his stroller. I only have pictures of the zoo. His favorite part about the zoo was the Elephants, of course I did not get any pictures of him with them :(

It has been a while since we last updated everyone. We have been having lots of fun and enjoying watching our little guy grow up. They grow way to fast. This post will mostly be pictures but here are a couple updates first.

Kevin has been applying for a job with Procter and Gamble since March of 2009. It has been a long process but he finally got hired! He started the begining of May. We could not be happier. This has been such a blessing for our little family. We were barely making ends meet and now we have some extra money to be able to "live" again. We also now have great health insurance. I know that the Lord blessed us with this amazing company.

I really enjoy being a stay at home mom. I love spending time with my baby and watching him learn new things. Their little brains grow so fast!

Preston is enjoying lots of playing and he LOVES to play outside!

When it was just starting to get warmer we took Preston up to the school to play on the toys. He really enjoyed playing in the dirt and rocks.

This is what I woke up to on Mothers Day. I was able to sleep in and when I got up I had 2 sleeping boys laying on my couch. I just love how Preston loves his daddy so much!

Preston loves to go around and put peoples hats on. This day he thought he should wear my grandpas cowboy hat. He doesnt normally keep them on long so if we put these M&M's in his hand then he was fine! The other night we were watching a rodeo on TV and we put him on his daddy's back and he got to ride him like a horse. He LOVED it!We were able to go down to my grandparents house on saturday and my cousin Brody took Preston for a ride on the horse. Here he is in his new Wranglers and his cowboy boots, and riding the horse.
