Clearing things up

Okay so to help clear things up here is a quick post. They determined that it was a really bad viral stomach infection, which was causing me to have pains in my gall bladder and liver area, which then caused my liver to swell which caused my blood tests to be really high. Things are going back to normal now, I'm taking Nexium (stomach pill) twice a day, and I havent had anymore pains since last wednesday night. I will have my labs rechecked here in a about a week or so to make sure that the numbers are still doing good. I went back to work on monday and I'm feeling great now!

Interesting Couple Weeks

Wow what an interesting past couple of weeks. It all started on the Monday after conference. Before me and Kev got married I started to get really bad pains in my upper quadrant, mostly on my right side (ended up in the ER and was diagnosed with gastritis). I've had those pains a couple times after we got married, but nothing like I did on monday. That monday I woke up having several bad pains, normally if I take something like Nexium it goes away. Well by the time I got to work the pains had not gone away and they felt as if they were getting worse, I decided that it was NOT gastritis and that I needed to go to the hospital. So I spent 3 hours in the ER with them telling me that my gall bladder was fine and that I had hepatitis. I of course freaked out, working in the medical field I knew how serious hepatitis was.
After being referred to a family doctor she then told me that I was contagious and that I could not work for 2 weeks, granted I had already taken monday through friday off because we had to wait for the blood tests. My first thoughts were how in the world can we afford to do that? Kev is going to have to work extra hours just to make all our bills on time.
The following tuesday I had more blood tests done to see where my liver enzymes were, and my boss called me to tell me that they were dropping which really ment I did not have hepatitis and that I was go to the office on wednesday to have an exam. Here I am thinking what in the world is going on with me? At this point I was still having the pains every couple days, I was told I could not take anything for it because it had to pass through my liver. I was still exhausted and did basically nothing all day but sleep and lay on the couch. After my doctors visit on wednesday we came to some kind of conclusion. I was diagnosed with a viral stomach infection, and the reason my hepatitis tests came back positive was because I had received the vaccine several years ago. If the pains do not go away or they continue to get worse then I will have a hidascan done where they will inject dye into my gall bladder and when it contracts if I get the same pain then my gall bladder will more then likely need to be removed. I really am happy to finally get to the bottom of all of this. I go back to work on monday, and after taking the rest of last week off I'm finally starting to feel a lot better.

Jelly Beans Anyone?

Bored?

Our Trip!

I promised that I would post pictures from our trip. So here they are! We had such a good time. We left Wednesday morning at 8:30. It was my first time flying and I really enjoyed it! We arrived in Sacramento and checked into our hotel, and then we went and seen Kev's family. It was really good to see them considering we have not seen them since we got married in May. We enjoyed 2 days in San Francisco and one day at Old town Sacramento. I was able to wear capri's and flip flops the entire time we were there, we then came back to snow :(We went to the Jelly Belly factory and took a tour, these are the funny hats we had to wear.We went to the wax museum and enjoyed all the talent that was shown there. This was at Pier 39, just behind me is the bay.I had never seen so many Sea Lions before. It was fun to listen to them talk to each other, we even were able to see a couple get into a fight. We did a tour of Alcatraz. That was really interesting. There was a really eerie feeling about the place. It was fun to learn about and to learn that it was a National Park because it was used as a fort in the Civil War and then made into a prison.

Here is San Francisco from Alcatraz. It was so beautiful to finally see the ocean and to be able to enjoy the nice warm weather.
The Golden Gate Bridge. On our second day in San Francisco we were able to drive across the Bridge, the first for both of us!
